Multi-household families

A clear place for each household's details.

Family life can involve more than one home. FamDesk lets you switch between households you belong to, with each household kept as its own private space. You view one household at a time, so the people, notes, contacts, and links you are working with have a clear context.

Start with an everyday situation.

You might organize your own household while also helping a parent in theirs. The clinic contact needed in one home and the school portal needed in another belong in different places. A deliberate household switch helps you find the relevant information.

Separate household spaces

Keep each household's information together. Choose the relevant household before reviewing or changing details.

Membership by invitation

Invite trusted people into the household they help with. Owners can review members and pending invitations and remove access when appropriate.

People and pets in context

Use profiles for children, dependents, and pets to organize the everyday details relevant to that household.

A Family Desk for the household

Keep requests, quick notes, conversations, and follow-ups with the household handling them, alongside its contacts and useful links.

A practical starting point

Example: helping in a parent's household

  1. Accept the household invitation using the email address it was sent to.

  2. Switch to that household in Settings and check that you are in the right space.

  3. Find a provider's contact details, add a reference note, or create a request for another trusted member.

  4. Switch back to your own household when you are ready to work on its details.

Decide where information belongs

Household membership determines the space you can access. Agree on which household will hold a particular detail and who should be invited there. Review the active household and its members whenever you add information that concerns more than one home.
