Terms
These terms cover your use of the FamDesk website at famdesk.org and the FamDesk app at famdesk.app.
Last updated: October 20, 2026. These terms may be updated as the service changes.
Who we are
FamDeskTM is a private family management platform. These terms are an agreement between you and the FamDesk team, and "we", "us", and "FamDesk" on this page refer to that service.
Using FamDesk
FamDesk is a private family management platform for organizing household details. You may use it for your own household and for households you have been invited to join. Anyone can create an account directly. A household invitation is still required to join someone else's existing household. You are responsible for the accounts you create and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
Service availability and improvements
Features may change, and interruptions can happen as we improve the service. FamDesk is provided as-is and as available, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Your household content
The information you add to a household stays yours. You are responsible for what you enter and for making sure you have the right to record information about other people, including children and dependents in your care.
Invites and shared access
When you invite someone to your household, they can see the household information available to members. Invite only people you trust with those details.
Acceptable use
Do not use FamDesk to break the law, to store content you have no right to store, to harass anyone, or to attempt to access households or accounts that are not yours. Do not attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the service.
Everyday organizing, not official records
FamDesk is an organizing tool for everyday household details. It does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a replacement for official records — keep those with the providers and institutions that issue them.
Please don't rely on FamDesk as the sole or official record for medical treatment, legal matters, or documentation required by a court, a school, or a government or child-placement agency. It works best alongside those official channels, not in place of them.
Pricing
FamDesk offers a free plan and optional paid memberships. Before you add a card to enroll in Plus, we show the price, first payment date, and monthly renewal terms. Completing that payment setup authorizes those payments. If you enroll during your free trial, the trial keeps its original end date and the first payment is due when it ends. If you do not enroll, your trial ends without a charge and your household returns to Free.
Ending use
You can stop using FamDesk at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Paid memberships and billing
Plus renews monthly at the price shown when you enroll until you cancel. The household owner can cancel in Manage Membership. Cancel before your trial ends to prevent the first payment and keep the rest of your trial. After paid billing begins, cancellation stops future renewals and Plus remains available until the end of the paid period. We do not automatically refund unused time. This does not limit any refund or other rights you have under applicable law.
If you have a question about a charge, contact hello@famdesk.org so we can help. Please make billing complaints and disputes in good faith. Do not knowingly misrepresent an authorized charge as fraud to obtain a refund. Nothing in these terms prevents you from reporting genuine unauthorized activity or billing errors, contacting your bank or card issuer, or exercising your legal or payment-provider rights. You do not need our permission to do so.
