Moving on from Maple?
Keep family information connected to the next step.
Maple has announced that it will close on December 31, 2026. Preserve the information you want to keep before it closes. Check Maple's official notice and its own instructions for the options available to your account.
Read Maple's noticeFamDesk helps you organize household profiles, useful contacts, saved links, notes and requests, so information stays connected to what needs doing and who is handling it.
Is FamDesk a fit?
FamDesk may suit you if your first priority is organizing information about children, adult dependents or pets, then turning outstanding work into a clear request. Try the fictional demo before moving personal information.
What this guide does not transfer
FamDesk does not currently offer a verified automatic Maple import or calendar transfer. These contact and saved-link paths do not restore Maple tasks, completion history, conversations, recipes, meal plans or sharing permissions. If replacing those features is your first priority, review these limits before choosing FamDesk.
Start with information you can check
Preserve your originals
Use Maple's own supported options to retain the information you need. We have not verified a Maple export format or a complete export procedure, so we cannot promise that any Maple file will import into FamDesk. Keep originals and attachments somewhere you control. Check calendars separately; do not assume every Maple event already exists in another calendar.
Bring over a small contact or link list
In FamDesk, open Settings → Import information, then open the other import options and choose the CSV/contact-file option. Choose Contacts or Saved links and download the matching example. Use it as a manual-entry aid, not a Maple backup converter.
For CSV, use the example's exact headers and keep each file within 500 rows and 1 MB. Blank categories become Other.
Choose the intended profile, preview the rows and review warnings, duplicates or conflicts before saving only what you choose. Keep anything that does not fit in your original records.
Rebuild one useful next step
Manually create one My Desk request for outstanding work. Check the details, who is responsible, the due date and who can see it before saving. Update the request as the work progresses. This recreates a selected next step; it does not import Maple's task history or recurring schedules.
Check before moving more
Compare saved information with your working copy and originals. Note what still needs manual entry. Keep the originals until you are satisfied that the information you need is preserved.
FamDesk is an independent product. This guide does not imply an affiliation with Maple or guarantee that every Maple feature or record can transfer.
